Before this week, you had never seen a T. rex perform portions of an American Ninja Warrior course. Thanks to Brentwood Photography and a gutsy young athlete, that is no longer the case. I can’t tell if life with the internet gradually gets stranger, or if it’s always been at about an 11 on a 10 point scale.

The human inside the dinosaur is American Ninja Warrior devotee Rico Rivera. His audition video from 2013 is arguably more interesting than his T. rex-doing-crossfit schtick. I had no idea a subculture of Ninja Warrior-specific athletes and gyms existed across the country.
I sort of want to try one of these courses. But first I have to choose the right dino costume. I’m thinking dilophosaurus.
