Microsoft to launch its Lumia 950 flagship on November 20th

Microsoft is planning to launch its Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL handsets on November 20th. Windows Central reports that the Lumia 950 will arrive on AT&T, and sources familiar with Microsoft’s plans tell The Verge that the November 20th timing is accurate. Microsoft is also planning to make the Lumia 950 XL available as an unlocked device for sale in its own retail stores in the US.

Microsoft has finalized its Windows 10 Mobile software as build 10586 and the latest operating system update is expected to be available on the Lumia 950 when it hits store shelves later this month. It’s not clear whether the Windows Hello facial recognition feature will be immediately available, but this may launch as a beta feature until it’s fully finalized. Microsoft will also start selling its Display Dock at the same time to enable the new Continuum feature for the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.

AT&T has not announced pricing or preorders for the Lumia 950 yet, but that’s expected to arrive later this week.
