With the latest Super Smash Bros., Nintendo has been introducing plenty of characters from outside of Nintendo games: and some of them are getting amiibo of their very own. Today Nintendo announced that it’s releasing NFC-enabled figures for new Smash Bros. characters including Final Fantasy VII’s Cloud, Ryu from Street Fighter, and the just-announced Bayonetta. Also part of this latest wave of amiibo are Fire Emblem characters Roy and Corrin, along with the iconic NES robot ROB. Ryu, ROB, and Roy will be available on March 18th, while the other amiibo characters are expected to launch sometime next year. The downloadable Cloud character for Smash Bros., meanwhile, will be available later today.
