Microsoft launched its backwards compatibility for 104 Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One last month, promising to release more regularly. Today it’s delivering on its initial promise with 16 new tiles that are now playable. That’s 120 in total now, and they work whether you have the digital copy of the Xbox 360 game or the disc. The three big title additions today are Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Fable III, and Halo: Reach. The full list is available at Microsoft’s backwards compatibility site.

“We’re continuing to work with our publishing partners to grow our library of Xbox One Backward Compatibility titles,” explains a Microsoft spokesperson. “We’ll be adding to the catalog on a regular basis.” Halo: Reach satisfies one of the most requested titles, but there are still a number of games that fans want to see over at Microsoft’s feedback site. It’s only 16 new additions today, but it’s encouraging to see Microsoft is sticking to its promise to update its list regularly.

Halo, Forza and Gears of War helped launch the Xbox 360. Now Microsoft plans to use those franchises to propel a new generation of Xbox One titles
