LG’s G Flex 2 will be available from Sprint on March 13th

LG’s G Flex 2, a more compact, thought-out successor to the company’s original curved smartphone, will arrive in the US on March 13th. Sprint has announced it will begin selling the handset on that date online and through its retail stores; pre-orders start tomorrow, February 20th. Other US carriers including AT&T and T-Mobile have indicated that they’ll be carrying the phone, so we’d expect their own announcements and release plans to follow before long. Sprint says those who buy through its Easy Pay plan can own the G Flex 2 for $0 down and 24 monthly installments of $21. Off contract, the phone is listed as having a somewhat strange MSRP of $504.

The G Flex 2 features an improved (and smaller) 1080p display and a reduced curvature compared to the original model, two improvements that show LG has quickly moved beyond the proof-of-concept label that many placed upon the first G Flex. It also contains the very latest in processor technology from Qualcomm, as the G Flex 2 is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 chipset.
