With Marvel’s new series Daredevil one month away, Netflix just released a new trailer to remind everyone that this is a darker effort than Marvel Studios’ previous outings. Here, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin takes the fore in a rather nuanced take on the character. Instead of seeing himself as a criminal mastermind, the character sees himself as the moral savior of his city, saying that he and Daredevil have a lot in common. By the look of it, the show will actively question Matt Murdock’s bloody vigilantism, making him every bit the anti-hero Frank Miller transformed him into in the early 1980s. Daredevil premieres on April 10th.
