Guillermo del Toro is launching a Pacific Rim comic series

With Pacific Rim 2 slated for release on April 7th, 2017, there’s still plenty of time to dive into the world of Kaijus and Jaegers. In addition to the promised animated series, franchise creator Guillermo del Toro is now officially starting a comic series set in the Pacific Rim universe, titled Pacific Rim: Tales from the Drift.

Tales from the Drift will be released by Legendary Comics, and will follow the events of last year’s graphic novel Pacific Rim: Tales from Year Zero, which served as a prequel to the 2013 film. The original story comes from screenwriter Travis Beacham, and will feature the work of horror writer Joshua Fialkov and Batman Confidental artist Marcos Marz, showing off monsters fans have never seen before. Tales from the Drift hits stores this November.
