The How to Train Your Dragon franchise is set to continue on Netflix this summer. Entertainment Weekly reports that DreamWorks Animation’s new series, Dragons: Race to the Edge, will premiere on Netflix on June 26.
A How to Train Your Dragon series will premiere on Netflix this June
Race to the Edge will follow the continuing adventures of the dragonriders of Berk, which first started in 2010’s How to Train Your Dragon. The series will involve Hiccup, the hero, and his friends discovering an ancient artifact known as the Dragon Eye, which leads them to new lands, new dragons, and new enemies.
Dragons, dragons, everywhere
The new entry is only the latest entry in the Dragons saga, which has so far spawned a Golden Globe-winning sequel, a Cartoon Network series, video games, a series of short films, and a live-action ice show. A third film is currently scheduled for release in 2018.
