The Survey Monkey CEO and husband of Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg was an admired and well-liked figure in Silicon Valley, and his unexpected death has drawn shock and an outpouring of condolences. He is the father of two children.
“In lieu of donations, we want to celebrate his life in a manner that respects the family’s privacy as they cope with this tragic, life changing event.” Robert Goldberg wrote. “Sheryl, their children, and our family would be grateful if people would post their memories and pictures of Dave to his Facebook profile.”

Before joining Survey Monkey in 2009, Goldberg founded LAUNCH Media, a music content platform acquired by Yahoo in 2001. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University. The cause of death is not yet known.
