Let’s face it, Marvel has done an absolutely fantastic job in making Black Widow into a fully-rounded character in the Avengers franchise. Did you notice that they actually cast a woman to play her? It’s attention to detail like that that’s made her the stand-out she is, respected by cast members and celebrated with the usual array of merchandise. Except not, of course. But now, thanks to SNL, we can imagine what it would be like if Marvel did turn their attention to the under-appreciated super spy, giving her a spin-off movie as an adorkable klutz who hangs out with the rest of the Avengers gang in her Manhattan apartment and has terrible taste in men and, er, robots.
SNL’s Black Widow romcom is a parody that’s all too real
