YouTube just started rolling out a small design update that makes the control panel on its videos transparent. The panel still functions like YouTube’s old black bar, but the controls are slightly larger and they now float on top of the video, rather than sit underneath it.
YouTube’s video player just got a little easier to look at
YouTube began testing the new player back in April, but with limited availability. YouTube confirmed that the update is available globally today. We’ve reached out to YouTube for comment.
