Microsoft’s Cortana assistant is deeply integrated into its new Edge browser. Cortana can surface opening hours when you’re on restaurant sites, or even show you weather information in the address bar. Microsoft is adding even more Cortana features today, with the introduction of retail coupons for websites.

If you visit retailers like Best Buy, Staples, and Macy’s then Cortana will appear in the address bar with suggestions for coupons and discounts. “We are just beginning to roll this out to get feedback,” explains a Microsoft spokesperson. “We will be increasing availability and the number of retailers we support in the months ahead through our partnership with Shopular, a leading coupon provider.”
Microsoft says you can now test the Cortana coupon feature at Best Buy, but during our testing we couldn’t get it to work immediately. Coupons support for other retailers like Staples and Macy’s should be available now too.
