Microsoft Band 2 might look a whole lot better than the first model

We’re expecting to see Microsoft’s Band 2 at the company’s big event on October 6th, but we’re getting an early look thanks to a leak. Spanish site Microsoft Insider has obtained the images, which it claims are official renders of the new wearable.

If legitimate, the images show a far more attractive device than the original model. The Verge can confirm that the tracker will feature a curved face like the device shown in the renders, though we cannot confirm the authenticity of these images. The leak shows a new metallic finish that, combined with the new curved display, moves away from the strictly utilitarian looks of the original Band.
