OS X El Capitan is now available to download in the App Store. The newest version of Apple's desktop OS doesn't include many major feature additions, but it does bring with it a number of important refinements. Those include the addition of Split View for apps, pinned tabs in Safari, public transit in Maps, as well as improvements to Spotlight, Notes, and Mail. There's also a new font — San Francisco — used across the OS. If you're already on iOS 9, you know what it looks like; it's not going to be a huge change. El Capitan may not be the most exciting OS X update, but this iteration starts to make the OS a lot more powerful for a lot people. For more, you can read our full review.
