Google is changing the way sign-ins work for Android games to make the process a little bit less annoying. “We’re taking steps to reduce sign-in friction and unnecessary permission requests for players by moving the Games APIs to a new model,” Google developer advocate Wolff Dobson explains. As part of the new model, Google Play Games will only require you to sign in once per account, as opposed to once per game, and new accounts will no longer require a Google+ account. “Once players have signed in for the first time, they will no longer need to sign in to any future games,” the company says. The new process should be in place soon, which means you’ll be able to buy power-ups in Two Dots a lot quicker.
