Pokémon Go developer Niantic expanded the roster of catchable Pokémon a few weeks ago. But if you’re still having trouble finding and hatching them, a new holiday promotion might be able to help you out. Starting on the morning of December 25th through the the afternoon of January 3rd, Niantic says there will be “a greater chance of finding eggs that hatch Togepi, Pichu, and several other recently found Pokémon, originally discovered in the Johto region.”

What’s more, you’ll be able to nab a single-use Incubator every day after the first spin of a PokéStop’s photo disc. What better way to work off all those holiday treats than a few daily walks?
Niantic also says the Pikachus wearing “festive hats” are sticking around longer. They were seeded into the game when the company announced the new Pokémon, and the new holiday event will give users a better chance of catching the festive pocket monster. It’s all part of Niantic’s effort to reinvigorate the game, which has faded from its sky-high popularity this summer.
