Here’s another leaked look at the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

A first good look at Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge leaked out on Friday courtesy of VentureBeat’s Evan Blass, and today he’s back with another image. This time, Blass has shared what appears to be a render of the phones’ backs. Both look extremely familiar, staying very close to the style of the Galaxy S6: the corners appear to have rounder curves, the flash unit has been altered ever so slightly, and the edges appear to taper instead of coming to an edge, but the differences all around are pretty subtle. Put that together with the image Blass leaked on Friday — which shows the S7 and S7 Edge’s fronts — and it’s clear that Samsung won’t be changing much this year.

Small changes aren’t usually Samsung’s style. But the S6 had one of the best smartphone designs it’s ever shipped, so it makes sense that Samsung is sticking with what works. It’s not as though Samsung isn’t making any changes here, either. The S7 appears to have a much friendlier look, doing away with the S6’s harsh edges in favor of something, well, a little more like the iPhone 6 and 6S’s round edges. The S7 is also expected to bring back a number of features absent from the S6 line, including a microSD card slot and waterproofing.
