HBO posts first photos of Game of Thrones season six

The first batch of photos from HBO’s Game of Thrones are here, and they do not disappoint.

If you’re looking for spoilers, you won’t find many here. Most of the photos show characters exactly where we left them — Dany off on the plains by herself; Arya blind and chilling in Bravos; Margaery in prison; Tyrion left behind in Mereen; and Cersei doing her best to rock an involuntary bowl cut.

The standouts here are Sansa — who we last saw jumping off of an impossibly high wall, and who definitely looks like she’s seen a few thousand ghosts — and Myrcella, who’s now in King’s Landing and still dead. Also, Bran is back.

We still haven’t seen a full trailer for the new season — just a brief teaser made with mostly recycled footage, and a handful of tweeted sound bites.

The sixth season of Game of Thrones premieres on HBO on April 24, 2016.
