Corsair released three Rapid Fire mechanical keyboards today, all of which use the new Cherry MX Speed switches. These switches are noteworthy because of how small a distance a key needs to be pushed down for an action to be realized — only 1.2mm — and because of their 45g actuation force. By comparison, Logitech’s Romer-G switches have a 1.55mm actuation distance and an actuation force of 45g. Corsair’s keyboards also feature a per-key colored LED backlighting. The full K70 RGB keyboard costs $169.99, and the version without a 10-key setup, the K65, is priced at $149.99.
