Google first unveiled its Android Wear smartwatches with fitness as a key feature. Two years ago, Google said you’d be able to get “real-time speed, distance and time information on your wrist for your run, cycle or walk,” but it forgot to mention Counter-Strike. For no apparent reason at all, someone has decided to get Counter-Strike 1.6 running on an Android Wear smartwatch. It’s clearly what smartwatches were destined for.

You’ll need the Xash3D app to run an old copy of Windows on your watch (yes people do that), a copy of Counter-Strike 1.6, and a special Counter-Strike client app to get it up and running. It’s similar to how developers managed to get Half-Life running last year, but this time you’ll get to compete with real PC players from your watch. With all the cluttered touchscreen controls, we’re looking forward to seeing if anyone can master a string of headshots from the comfort of their wrist. For everyone else, it’s probably worth sticking to the Counter-Strike Android port for your slightly larger smartphone.
