Google kicked off the Android segment of its I/O developer conference this year as it has in the past with a list of new facts and figures to tout. The company says more than 600 new Android phones have launched in the last year, while more than 65 billion apps have been installed through its Google Play store in the same time frame. While we don’t have more recent statistics for global Android adoption, the company announced last fall that its mobile OS had hit 1.4 billion users.

Google’s Dave Burke, the VP of Android engineering, also threw out a few numbers for other Android services. He says there are now millions of Android TV units out in the wild and more than 100 models and stereos with Android Auto in use — with around 100 more coming. As for Android Wear, the company’s smartwatch OS, Burke says more than 12 watch brands have released units, including Tag Heuer and Fossil.
