The new Doom is fantastic — a brutal, intense return to the days when first-person shooters were about health packs and keycards rather than hiding behind boxes while your health magically recovers. And in the game’s first major update, Id Software is making a further retro tweak; there’ll be a new option to have your weapon placed in the center of the screen, just like old times.

The update also adds a photo mode to the campaign, along with various fixes and adjustments to multiplayer and the SnapMap stage editor. It’ll roll out across PC, PS4, and Xbox One on Thursday, June 30th.
