Brazilian artist Bruno Alberto has animated a collection of classic scenes in a minimal animated GIF in an art project called Low Poly Scenes. So far, he’s adapted scenes from films such as Back to the Future, Free Willy, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars: A New Hope, as well as television shows such as Game of Thrones.

The simplified animated style works really well capturing the excitement of the moment, whether it's Luke dodging TIE fighters over the Death Star, Indiana Jones running away from a boulder, or Doc and Marty testing out the DeLorean time machine for the first time. Fortunately, this appears to be an ongoing art project: Alberto has been steadily adding scenes to his Facebook page for the project, where you can see the rest of the images.
