The Panorama festival in New York City ramped up on Saturday — and so did the blistering heat. That didn’t stop an even bigger crowd from flocking to Randall’s Island to catch day two. Early high-energy performances by DC garage band Ex Hex, and Brooklyn’s Caveman woke up the early birds who managed to get to Randall’s Island before the Sun went down. Blood Orange reminded festivalgoers that his recent album Freetown Sound still holds up live, and Flosstradamus donned their best military gear to match their onstage bunker. As festivalgoers were treated to an incredible sunset over the East River, they wandered from Sufjan Stevens’ neon disco party to Kendrick Lamar’s packed set at the main Panorama Stage before shuffling off to the ferry home.

Keep it locked to The Verge this weekend for more VR experimentation, behind-the-scenes photos, and live conversations with the musicians who are making Panorama possible.
