The third season of Halt and Catch Fire, the 1980s-set drama about the rise of personal computers, has started early. AMC viewers can watch the series premiere right now, after the network sneakily bumped it forward a few days, with the first episode taking up an hour that had previously been assigned to a two-hour version of Talking Dead.

Halt and Catch Fire’s third season moves the action from Texas to Silicon Valley in 1986, then still a fairly quiet corner of Northern California, but soon to become the world’s premiere tech hub. AMC’s Jim Maiella confirmed the switch shortly before the episode aired, but despite these shenanigans, viewers should expect future episodes of the show will air on Tuesdays at 10PM ET as normal.
