Fans who have been waiting for years to play The Last Guardian will have to wait a little while longer: Sony has just announced that the long-in-development PS4 game is now scheduled to launch on December 6th. It was previously slated for an October release.

“A delay is a difficult decision, particularly with this game, but we have encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development,” Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida wrote on the PlayStation blog. “To ensure that The Last Guardian delivers on the experience that the game’s creators have envisioned, we need to take the extra time to work on those issues.”
This is far from the first delay for the beleaguered game: The Last Guardian was originally announced way back in 2009, with plans to launch two years later.
