When Titanfall launched in 2014, its world of mechs and aliens was missing one key ingredient: a proper story mode. That’s being rectified with the sequel, which adds a much-requested single-player campaign, and the latest trailer for the game delves into one particular aspect of that story. Namely, the strong bond between pilot and titan. The trailer paints an incredibly serious and emotional vibe, which is maybe surprising for a game primarily about shooting lots of robots. But we’ll be able to find out soon enough whether the trailer matches the actual game — Titanfall 2 is launching on October 28th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. (And hey, if the story is bad, at least there are grappling hooks now.)
