Google has spoiled its own Pixel 2 announcement just minutes ahead of its official unveiling. In a move similar to Apple’s iPhone 7 mistake last year, Google has updated its official Google Home app with images of the Pixel 2 XL. Google’s new Pixel 2 XL smartphone has been heavily leaked multiple times ahead of its expected unveiling today, and this appears to be official confirmation of the reduced bezels reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Google’s Pixel 2 XL is expected to include a curved QHD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, either 64GB or 128GB of storage, a USB-C port, and an E-SIM slot. While the leaked photos don’t confirm any of the specs, they’re still an embarrassing mistake just moments before Google’s event is about to begin. You can follow The Verge’s Google Pixel 2 live blog right here, and the event starts at 9AM PT / 12PM ET.
