Samsung Unpacked is the headline event this week for gadget nerds. Wednesday, March 29th is the day we’ll see Samsung make all the Galaxy S8 leaks official. Expect to hear more about that slick new bezel-less design, their homegrown Bixby virtual assistant, and the company’s new DeX dock that’s supposed to convert the S8 into a desktop experience. We might also get an update to Gear VR and the company’s 360-degree camera so stay tuned for that and any surprises.

Fittingly, we’re also planning to publish our review of the 5.7-inch G6 from crosstown rival LG this week. Verizon will have the phone in stock and ready for sale on Wednesday, followed by T-Mobile and AT&T availability on April 7th. We’ve also got reviews of Razer’s 14-inch Blade laptop and the Huawei P10 with its “Leica-style portraits” camera on deck.

Today is the start of CinemaCon in Vegas, a trade show for movie studios and theater owners. Last year Bryan Bishop learned about the future of theater food and the Avatar sequels so anything goes for Bryan’s return visit.

Our ScreenDrive series will return this week with a look at what it’s like to use either the new Jeep or BMW 5 Series rolling gadgets.

Andrew Webster is prepping his review of the addictive Japanese RPG Persona 5 set for release next week. He’ll also be taking a deeper look at the design of the toy-like world of the quirky puzzler Gnog.
