Google is bringing its Assistant to the Android TV platform later this year, the company announced at its I/O conference today. The arrival of Assistant will be accompanied by a brand-new launcher as well, Dave Burke, Google’s VP of engineering for Android announced onstage.

The company also announced that there are now over 3,000 Android TV apps in the Play Store, and it is seeing over 1 million new Android TVs coming online every two months.
Google hasn’t given an exact release date for the updates to Android TV, but given the history of I/O announcements and rollouts, it will likely be available before the summer is over.
