Today Nintendo revealed a lot of new information about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, including the final characters added to the roster. But one of the more surprising announcements was “Smash World,” a dedicated online service exclusively for sharing videos of the fighting game. We don’t know much else about it, but it will be launching after the game; Smash Ultimate is coming to the Switch in December, while the new service won’t be available until 2019.

Nintendo has slowly been adding more social features to its games, going so far as to add a dedicated screenshot / video capture button on the Switch controller. And given the hectic nature of Smash Bros., and its huge eclectic lineup of fighters, it should make for lots of good videos to share and watch. A mobile screenshot of the service has a distinctly Pinterest-like vibe, with a big focus on images and no text to be seen.
“Smash World” isn’t the only reason you’ll want to have your phone around for Smash, though. Nintendo also revealed that, just like with Splatoon 2, in order to utilize voice chat in Smash, you’ll have to go through the Switch Online mobile app.
