Odyssey looks to be drawing on the revamped RPG systems of last year’s Assassin’s Creed: Origins, with the overhauled, Dark Souls-like combat, Destiny-esque loot system, and eagle companion all looking to make a return. Also back is the series’ naval combat, first introduced back with Black Flag in 2013, which will see players exploring the islands of the Mediterranean Sea.
New in Odyssey is interactive dialogue trees, allowing players to make their own choices in how gameplay and the story unfolds, along with huge, 300 soldier battles.
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is set to release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 5th.
