Waze, like its parent company’s mapping product, now supports navigation through Apple CarPlay with a new update out today, via 9to5Mac. Last week, Google released an update to its iOS app to fully support CarPlay navigation, which arrived as part of iOS 12’s third-party support feature. Waze said it was coming soon, and it looks like the company needed just a few extra days to get it into shape.

Just like with Google Maps, you’ll now be able to sync Waze directions from your iPhone to your in-car display. Unlike Google Maps, you can enjoy some of Waze’s more visual elements on CarPlay. For instance, based on your preference, you can use daytime or night mode regardless of the time of day. You can also change the icon Waze uses for your car on its turn-by-turn map.
