The Verge is in Miami this week for Winter Music Conference. A week-long conference for the dance music industry (and people who love dance music), WMC plays host to tens of thousands of people who come to Miami for dozens of panels, hundreds of parties, and the Ultra Music Festival this coming weekend.

Verge editor-in-chief Nilay Patel and I are co-hosting five of WMC’s panels in Miami’s Faena District, which will tackle all sorts of big topics that affect musicians today. With executives from companies like Splice, Dubset, SoundCloud, Amuse, Amadeus Code, iZotope, and more, we’ll be digging into everything from how artificial intelligence will impact music creators to how to be successful as an independent artist in the modern music landscape. We’re also going to host a live What’s in Your Bag with artists like Cray and Lost Frequencies. Lastly, we got our hands on some of the newest music tools around, and we will be demoing everything from wearables that control MIDI to DJing b2b sets with other people in virtual reality.

If you’re in Miami, come through and say hi! We’ll be spending our time looking at every aspect of the convergence of music and tech. You can find out more about The Verge’s panels at Winter Music Conference here.
