The EU is on track to ban the Lightning port by 2024.
Another month, another procedural step for the EU’s USB-C charging legislation. This month it’s the EU Council’s turn, which has now given its approval to new rules mandating the use of the charging port on everything from phones to laptops. But even this isn’t the final step. Individual member states still need to update their national laws.
