“Your digital noise comrade.”
65daysofstatic are best-known for the brilliant procedural soundtrack to No Man’s Sky (though you should definitely check out their other work, like 2013’s Wild Light). Now they’re trying to worm their way further into your subconscious with a project called Wreckage Systems.
It’s basically a never-ending stream of industrial electronic music that serves as ideal background noise, especially if you want to feel like you’re in a classic sci-fi movie. “Wreckage Systems is what you will wake up to in the mornings and fall asleep to at night,” the band explains. “It is your digital noise comrade.”
Check out this piece in Wired for more on the project.
