“A mutually-satisfactory deal may not be reached.”
As part of its third quarter earnings statement, Activision warned that Blizzard’s current licensing deal in China will expire in January 2023, and that it’s currently negotiating a new deal — but the outlook doesn’t sound great.
“We are in discussions regarding the renewal of these agreements, but a mutually-satisfactory deal may not be reached,” the company says. This will impact several of its games in the country, though Diablo Immortal is not one of them.
