You may be able to keep your Twitter blue checkmark for free after all.
Twitter’s revamped Blue subscription that adds paid verification for $8 a month “will not affect existing verified accounts at this time,” according to a company FAQ for advertisers I obtained today.
The original plan for the new Blue plan expected this week was to require that already-verified users also pay or lose their checkmarks after 90 days. As with anything Elon Musk is involved in, plans are always subject to change — especially if Stephen King gets involved.
