Elon’s trash is Mastodon’s treasure.
Mastodon creator Eugen Rochko told TechCrunch that his platform saw “a huge spike” in membership around the news of Elon Musk buying Twitter, and another one around his firing spree. Mastodon’s iOS app has seen 1.8 million downloads over the last 90 days, and the platform currently has 2.5 million monthly active users. That must be overwhelming, since Mastodon currently has...one full-time employee.
