Birdo won’t be the last.

This week’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC release adds an additional character, Birdo, to the nearly six-year-old game. And it won’t be the last. After the update there are now five blank spaces visible in the character select screen, suggesting there are more additions coming alongside the last two waves of tracks.
