Netflix created a new method for green screen production that involves... magenta.
It’s called, fittingly, Magenta Green Screen, and it can “produce realistic visual effects for film and television in real time,” according to New Scientist. Check it out in action in this short video.
I’m no expert, but this new method does appear to place the actors pretty believably in front of the green screen background.
