Criminals reportedly sold streams of children from hacked security cameras.
Access to hundreds of camera streams was offered via channels on Telegram, according to IPVM. Telegram has since banned the flagged channels.
Hikvision, the company that makes the hacked cameras, told IPVM it was unaware of the issue, despite years of existing reporting on its cameras’ vulnerabilities. Some of Hikvision’s hardware was banned for sale in the US last year, but many of its cameras remain available.
