The Apple Watch’s new double-tap feature is not that new.
In fact, Apple has had an Assistive Touch accessibility feature since 2021; it lets you use a variety of gestures and arm movements to control your watch. Double-tap, which will be available in October for the Apple Watch Series 9, will require less setup, but you can use Assistive Touch today without a new watch.
