The latest hotfix for Baldur’s Gate 3 resolves some game-crashing bugs.

Some updates have been rolled out to fix a handful of crashing and save game issues related to corrupted item files and multiplayer sessions.

Developer Larian said it’s also preparing additional hotfixes based on player feedback following its recent patch, which includes addressing the stack of shared items you receive when dismissing companions. Still no word if they plan to shave the cat again though 😔.

Baldur’s Gate 3’s best boss-melting weapon is the cursed body of a dead child.

My favorite testament to the open-endedness of Baldur’s Gate 3 so far: this short, lightly spoiler-y guide to beating one of the game’s hardest bosses using the status effect of a minor side quest NPC. (If this hasn’t been patched yet... it likely will be soon.)

Roll for initiative.

The phenomenal cast of Baldur’s Gate 3 is now live on Twitch playing a Dungeons and Dragons one shot as their characters. I don’t typically watch D&D actual plays, (sorry Critical Role fans) but I will be present and seated for this because I love all my murder hobo companions and I can’t get enough of them.

One great thing about Baldur’s Gate 3 on PS5? Local co-op.

I agree with everything in Ash Parrish’s article about Baldur’s Gate 3 on PS5 — the controller experience can be really finicky. But I’m happy to deal with all of that hassle to be able to easily play local co-op on the big TV in my living room with my wife. We have had a delightful time romping through Faerûn together, and if you want to play the game with a friend, local co-op on PS5 is the way to go, if you ask me.

Baldur’s Gate 3 on PS5 is a technically complicated but still enjoyable experience

Lots of menus, controls, and buttons to parse, but fundamentally, the game is still the same and still very worth it.

There’s a new Baldur’s Gate 3 hotfix ahead of the full PS5 launch.

Developer Larian Studios released Hotfix #5 on Tuesday with a bunch of fixes, including some updates for multiplayer. The game is already available on PS5 if you have the Digital Deluxe edition, and it comes out widely on the platform Wednesday. It has some neat DualSense tricks, too, as detailed in this post on the PlayStation Blog.

And the winner for best NPC name of all time goes to...

this brothel cook in Baldur’s Gate 3. Not only is Sauceman Chorizo perhaps the finest NPC name in all of video game history, his barks are unsubtle works of art.

Your Baldur’s Gate 3 saves are... saved.

If you were playing late yesterday, you may have seen your newer save files become temporarily unavailable, thanks to Larian Studios rolling back a hotfix that was crashing the game for some players. Well, it’s just re-updated — with a promise from Larian to do fuller QA testing next time — and my saves will load again. I’m guessing yours will too.
