Dual-frequency GPS makes a big difference for accuracy, but most other watches with it still cost a pretty penny. Garmin’s Epix watch is also on sale for $560, but that has more bulk and costs over $300 more. (But it’s also a good deal if you like a bigger watch and OLED displays.) Personally, I like lighter smartwatches for running, and the Forerunner is an excellent option for marathoners on a budget.

Technically, there is a newer Forerunner 265 model, but the main thing you’re getting from it is an OLED display.
