Remember your first job interview? Maybe you forgot to print your résumé. Maybe you were so nervous you gave your interviewer a clammy handshake. Or maybe you totally nailed it. Whatever happened, most of us remember this professional rite of passage clearly.

Alfani, created for Macy’s, asked 10 men to relive their first job interviews, describe what they wore, and share what they’ve learned about personal style since then. Some highlights? An oversized Steve Harvey suit, a black suit better suited for a funeral, and one olive green suit from church. But whatever style choices these men made in the past, they now know that the best thing you can wear to look your best are clothes that fit, clothes that feel comfortable, and clothes that make you feel confident.
