Cooling features inspired by nature
AORUS’s WINDFORCE cooling system features three 110-mm-wide (4.3-inch) fans, each spinning in the opposite direction of its neighbor. Alternate spinning reduces turbulence and increases air pressure for maximum cooling.
The fan blade design takes its cue from nature, namely sharkskin. The dermal denticles sharks have instead of scales help them swim faster and more quietly. Similarly, the newly designed surface treatment of AORUS’s Bionic shark fan reduces noise levels by up to 3 dB. The blades’ shape also increases static pressure by up to 30 percent.
The result: more air moved more quietly. In fact, the GeForce RTX™️ 40 Series graphics cards can even run silently; the 3D active fans remain off when the GPU is in a low-load state, for example, when driving less graphics-intensive games.
The WINDFORCE cooling system also benefits from composite copper heat pipes connected to a large vapor chamber in direct contact with the GPU. In addition, the screen cooling design extends the heatsink over the entire printed circuit board, increasing ventilation to dissipate even more heat.
Form meets function
You shouldn’t have to choose function over form for the best performance. AORUS’s distinctive three-ring lighting, RGB Halo, around the fans adds visual appeal to PC builds with clear cases. You can also choose from a range of lighting effects and even synchronize with other GIGABYTE devices with just a few clicks through RGB Fusion in the GIGABYTE Control Center.
The lighting effects aren’t just about looks, however. AORUS GeForce RTX™️ 40 Series MASTER models feature an LCD monitor on the side that displays GPU temperature, processor load, and fan speed. But you can also program it to show other text, pictures, and animated GIFs. It’s all customizable in the GIGABYTE Control Center.
To provide strong support and protection, each GeForce RTX™️ 40 Series air-cooled graphics card comes with a new anti-sag bracket to reduce strain on the PCIe card slot. In addition, a metal back plate adds structural protection (in addition to enhancing aesthetics).
