The Android Market passed 10 billion app downloads last week, Google reported today, and that number continues to grow by a billion downloads per month. The growth has been rapidly increasing: It took just under 21 months to reach the first billion, and only 17 months to cover the remaining nine billion. Google is celebrating by having a bunch of apps available at a heavy discount each day for the next 10 days.
