Lenovo revealed to PCWorld that it plans to make the update available over-the-air to existing ThinkPad Tablets, but owners won’t be able to take advantage of the new Android Beam feature due to the lack of NFC hardware. Motorola and Asus have both distributed Ice Cream Sandwich updates for their Android tablets recently, with the latter experiencing a few hiccups along the way.
