Today RealNetworks has announced that its cross-platform RealPlayer media player has launched on Android. Previously available only in beta form, the app attempts to reduce your need for multiple media players by giving users the option to listen to music and view movies and photos all from a single app. While RealPlayer is free to download, additional features including an equalizer, widgets, and “personalization tools” are only available via a $4.99 in-app purchase. RealNetworks claims that the app had 11.2 million customers on Android while still in beta, and you can download it now from the Google Play store.
